Report: Kevin Owens Out Of Action With Legitimate Injury

Kevin Owens is dealing with an injury

One of WWE's top stars is set for a spell on the sidelines.

Kevin Owens appeared on the July 24 edition of Monday Night Raw but he ended up being attacked on the show by Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley, with the Judgment Day members using a wounded KO to distract Sami Zayn and allow Dominik Mysterio to roll him up for the win in their singles match. Owens later stated in a backstage segment that he believed something was broken.

It has been reported by WRKD Wrestling and Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful that Owens is out of action with a legitimate injury. How long Owens will be out of action is unknown but Reddit insider kerrmit125 has claimed Owens is dealing with broken ribs. Dave Meltzer stated on Wrestling Observer Radio that Owens has been working with the injury in recent weeks.

This leaves the future of the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships up in the air and WWE may well have to vacate the titles depending on how long Owens is on the shelf. Owens and Sami Zayn have held the belts since defeating The Usos in the main event of WrestleMania 39 night one in April.
