Report: Kevin Owens Still Dealing With Knee Injury Despite In-Ring Return

Kevin Owens is working through the pain

There was recent concern over WWE star Kevin Owens after he sprained his MCL while wrestling Austin Theory at a live event on November 13.

Owens was out of action for a couple of weeks and returned to the ring in the WarGames main event at this past weekend's Survivor Series. While KO rehabbed his knee at the WWE Performance Center, there was talk internally about whether or not he would be able to make it back in time for Survivor Series.

Speaking on a recent edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that The Prizefighter is still dealing with knee issues, despite being back on the road, saying:

"Owens' knee held up but I wasn't sure by the end of the match. Owens' knee held up but he's still hurt too. He got through the match and he worked the house show [on Sunday] and he worked the Raw [last night]. He's okay to work which is really good because two weeks ago, there was a lot of concern that he could be out for a while. Luckily, he dodged that bullet".

The former Universal Champion is seen as integral to the storyline with The Bloodline going forward, particularly with regards to his interactions with Sami Zayn. Owens beat Jey Uso in the lengthy main event of Raw this past Monday.
