Report: Kofi Kingston Not Far Off WWE Return

Kofi Kingston hasn’t wrestled on WWE programming since the February 24th edition of Friday Night SmackDown where he picked up a victory over LA Knight. He was ruled out of action with an ankle injury, being pulled from an Intercontinental Championship number one contenders match ahead of WrestleMania 39. 

Aside from a small update from Kingston earlier this month, in which he revealed that he had been rehabbing his ankle in Orlando and doing “really well” when speaking on the Battleground podcast, there hasn’t been much to go on when it comes to a timetable on his return. However, when asked about Kingston in a Q&A on Fightful Select, Sean Ross Sapp provided some news.

“I was told that Kofi wasn't supposed to be that far off (from a return), but that was a week or two ago, I believe.”

There has been no news or tease on the WWE front about a Kingston return, so it remains to be seen how long it will be until he is back on screens.
