Report: Lacey Evans Moved To WWE Raw

Only days after Lacey Evans announced that she planned to pursue the SmackDown Women's Championship, the former Sassy Southern Belle will be forced to abandon those plans. 

The 32-year-old has appeared on SmackDown in 'The Lacey Evans Story' vignettes in recent weeks in which she has been presented as an inspiring babyface. 

The latest chapter aired on Friday's episode of SmackDown and Evans spoke about her father overdosing two months before her WWE tryout as well as her family's other struggles with mental health. Evans then noted she had carried the weight and pain for her family but now it's her time and she planned to go after the SmackDown Women's Title. 

Evans then made her first in-person appearance on WWE TV in over a year, celebrating with the crowd after the ring announcer relayed her request to be shown "the proper respect." 

Beyond "the proper respect" line, Evans was very much presented as a babyface in the segment but that is set to change. 

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, WWE have moved Evans to Monday Night Raw. She will also be booked as a heel going forward despite weeks of babyface vignettes. 

Evans has been under contract with WWE since 2016 and has been featured on the main roster since 2019.
