Report: Lio Rush Expected To Be An AEW Regular Moving Forward

Lio Rush to be an AEW regular

A formerly-signed talent looks to be back with All Elite Wrestling for the foreseeable future.

Lio Rush made his return to AEW on the May 29 episode of Dynamite in the Casino Gauntlet Match. Rush was then booked on the May 30 taping of Collision and he has since worked the June 15 episode of Collision and the June 19 taping of AEW Rampage where he faced Action Andretti in a TNT Title Ladder Match qualifier.

Fightful Select has reported that Rush is expected to be a regular with All Elite Wrestling moving forward and creative plans are in place for the 29-year-old. It is unknown if Rush has signed with AEW but he made a positive impression upon his return and spoke with AEW CEO Tony Khan.

Rush was previously a part of All Elite Wrestling from May 2021 until February 2022, leaving the company upon the expiration of his contract. Rush's time in AEW ended in acrimony after Rush called out Tony Khan following the AEW CEO's public spat with Big Swole. Rush noted in early 2023 there was probably still some animosity between them but those issues appear to have been resolved.

Since his AEW exit, Rush has worked for the likes of New Japan Pro-Wrestling and TNA which included a two-month run as X-Division Champion. He has wholly worked on the indies in 2024 outside of his AEW matches, wrestling for PROGRESS, wXw, GCW, and Wrestling REVOLVER, among others.
