Report: Main Roster Call-Up Planned For Major WWE NXT Star

There will be some moves following WrestleMania 39

WWE are planning on calling up a major NXT star after WrestleMania 39, according to a recent report.

The WRKD Wrestling Twitter account wrote that Cameron Grimes and Bron Breakker are set to be main roster staples in the few months following the Showcase of the Immortals.

Grimes has been absent from WWE NXT television since November, as he awaits his creative direction. In preparation for his call-up, Grimes has undergone a remarkable physical transformation

Breakker, meanwhile, is the current NXT Champion, having held the title since April 4, 2022. Bron beat Dolph Ziggler to regain the title on the post-WrestleMania 38 episode of Raw. The 25-year-old's most recent main roster appearance was a quick victory over Akira Tozawa on the February 16 episode of Main Event.

While discussing Breakker's NXT future in December of last year, Shawn Michaels noted that he believed Bron could simultaneously wrestle for both NXT and on the main roster, noting that he would like to "wrap him up nicely in a bow and deliver him to them, perfectly ready to go".

Breakker is next scheduled to defend the NXT Title against Carmelo Hayes at Stand & Deliver on April 1.
