Report: Major Creative Changes On WWE Raw Following Braun Strowman's Injury
Plans at the top of the roster had to be altered...
Dec 2, 2020
On this week's episode of Monday Night Raw, AJ Styles defeated Keith Lee and Riddle in a "Sudden Death" Triple Threat Match to become the number one contender for the WWE Championship. The Phenomenal One will challenge Drew McIntyre for the title at the TLC pay-per-view on December 20.
Dave Meltzer previously reported on F4W Online that Braun Strowman was originally scheduled to face McIntyre at TLC, but those plans were scrapped after The Monster Among Men suffered a knee injury at Survivor Series. How long Braun will be on the shelf for is currently unknown but WWE wrote him off TV last week with a storyline suspension.
Fightful Select noted plans for "virtually everyone at the top of the Raw roster" shifted following Survivor Series. The tournament to crown a number one contender was put together after Strowman vs. McIntyre had to be cancelled and several programmes had to be adjusted by one to three weeks. The exact storylines that were affected are currently unknown.
