With Survivor Series out of the way, all eyes are now on the Royal Rumble, with the official first stop on the ‘Road to WrestleMania’ set for January 28, 2023.

Whilst the traditional Men’s and Women’s Royal Rumble matches will be the focus of the event, reports suggest that WWE are considering another major stipulation match for the show, with WrestlingNews.co tweeting that a Hell in a Cell match is being considered for Royal Rumble.

It is assumed that if the cell comes into play that it will likely be reserved for a Roman Reigns vs. Kevin Owens blowout, with the two having clashed at Survivor Series in WarGames, and earlier having a Last Man Standing Match at Royal Rumble 2021, and a TLC match at TLC 2020.

The rumours of the cell coming into play at the Rumble seem to confirm earlier statements from Triple H, with ‘The Game’ saying he prefers to use the cell stipulation as a blow-off last resort in a feud, rather than an annual obligation.

If Hell in a Cell does take place at the Royal Rumble, it will be the seventh time in WWE history that the match will be featured at a ‘big five’ PPV, having been held at King of the Ring 1998, Survivor Series 2007, SummerSlam 2008, and WrestleManias XV, XXVIII, and 32.
