Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling could be set to move beyond simply being an independent wrestling promotion which books free agents and wrestlers from major promotions like All Elite Wrestling, TNA, and New Japan.
According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Maple Leaf Pro are currently looking into signing several talents to exclusive, guaranteed contracts. There is no word on who Maple Leaf Pro are exploring signing but the promotion is believed to be looking to lock down at least two or three talents at the moment.
The Scott D'Amore-owned company is aiming to sign several wrestlers as they are planning to expand into more markets and attempt to secure potential TV deals in 2025.
Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling was launched by Scott D'Amore in 2024. The promotion recently held their second set of shows on March 14 and March 15 and the company will run a show in Northern Rising at the Maple Leaf Gardens on May 11. Maple Leaf Pro have wholly run shows in Canada so far and the promotion is looking into buying more goods from the Great White North amidst ongoing tensions with the United States.
