Report: Marquee Match Planned For First Episode Of AEW Collision

More on plans for the first episode of AEW Collision

All Elite Wrestling is set to have more professional wrestling programming on Warner Bros. Discovery networks soon and next week will see the announcement of AEW Collision, the new Saturday night show that will air on TNT from June 17 between 8 and 10 pm ET.

Planned for the debut episode of Collision is the return of CM Punk after nine months away from the promotion, with Punk set to be the star of the Saturday night show. Another debut or return is also reportedly scheduled for the debut edition of Collision.

Furthermore, Fightful Select has reported that a "marquee match" is tentatively scheduled for the first Collision show. There is no word on what that match will be, only that CM Punk has been pushing for a "huge match" to take place early on following his return.

As part of AEW's plans for Collision, a brand split is set to be introduced that will see CM Punk separated from The Elite and other talents. Punk will still appear on Dynamite at times but The Elite will be booked on Collision when The Straight Edge Superstar is on Wednesday nights.
