Report: Match Pulled From WWE SummerSlam

A planned match won't be taking place at WWE SummerSlam

A match originally planned for this week's WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view won't be taking place on August 5.

Becky Lynch vs. Trish Stratus had been in the works for SummerSlam for months but it was announced during the July 31 edition of Monday Night Raw the two rivals will actually have a match on the August 14 episode of Raw in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada instead.

Lynch and Stratus have been feuding since April when Trish turned on Becky after they dropped the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships to Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez. They first faced off at May's Night of Champions pay-per-view in a match which Stratus won. Lynch later earned a rematch against the WWE Hall of Famer by defeating Zoey Stark but that rematch technically took place on Raw, with Lynch defeating Trish in seconds after Stark interfered. This prompted Adam Pearce to make another rematch official for August 14 and Zoey Stark will be banned from ringside.

Fightful Select has confirmed that Lynch vs. Stratus was planned for SummerSlam but plans had changed by this past weekend. There were initial talks for the match to be moved to Payback until it was announced for the August 14 edition of Raw.
