Report: MJF Behind AEW's Four Pillars Storyline

MJF has been putting his pen to good use in recent months

One of the headline matches at All Elite Wrestling's upcoming Double or Nothing pay-per-view on May 28 will be the AEW World Title match that will see MJF put the gold on the line in a Four-Way against Darby Allin, "Jungle Boy" Jack Perry, and Sammy Guevara.

The feud between the Four Pillars of AEW has been running since the three challengers ruined MJF's Re-Bar Mitzvah on the March 15 edition of Dynamite. The programme has received a mixed reaction from fans, with many believing the storyline as a whole has been lacklustre but that the match itself will likely be a banger.

Any praise or criticism doesn't need to be directed to AEW CEO Tony Khan, however, as Cassidy Haynes of Bodyslam.net has reported that "the creative person responsible for writing the storyline for the entire 'Four Pillars' World Championship program has been none other than AEW World Champion MJF."

Tony Khan remains the head booker of AEW but top stars like MJF do have significant input into their own storylines, which looks to have been the case for Double or Nothing. Other names influential in AEW creative include QT Marshall, Sonjay Dutt, Pat Buck, Will Washington, Dean Malenko, Christopher Daniels, and Jerry Lynn.
