Report: Mojo Rawley Denies Early WWE Release Rumours

Rawley was released by WWE last week

Mojo Rawley has reportedly denied claims that he was quietly released by WWE a month before the announcement was actually made.

Rawley was one of ten WWE superstars confirmed as being let go by WWE on April 15, 2021, but the news regarding the former 24/7 Champion's departure from the promotion broke significantly later than the other names on the list.

A report has since circulated that Rawley was actually let go by WWE in early March, prior to WrestleMania 37, but the company had not made the news public until they released details regarding the departures of the likes of Samoa Joe, Mickie James, Billie Kay, Peyton Royce and others.

However, Fightful Select say they have reached out to Rawley, who has moved to squash those rumours. He says he was still a WWE employee at the beginning of April and, up until an hour of his release being publicly announced by the company on April 15,2021, he believed he was still employed by the promotion and wouldn't be getting let go.

Rawley has teased that his next chapter begins on May 31, 2021 but goes on to say that this wasn't a hint that he had left WWE earlier than previously indicated.
