Report: More On Why Stephanie McMahon Took A Leave Of Absence From WWE

Reason Stephanie McMahon stepped away

Stephanie McMahon announced last week that she would be taking a leave of absence from most of her WWE duties as the company's Chief Brand Officer, with WWE President Nick Khan set to take over much of her workload.

Following McMahon's announcement, it emerged that Triple H's recent health issues and her busy schedule for many years were factors in her decision to step away.

In an update, though, Mike Johnson of PWInsider reported people within WWE have been told Stephanie is taking an extended break due to the past year being "very rough on her family". It was also recently noted a private matter influenced McMahon's decision to take her leave of absence.

While Nick Khan will take over most of Stephanie's duties for the time being, it is believed WWE will look to bring in an executive on a full-time basis to take care of the company's brand management.

McMahon has been a part of WWE full-time since 1998 and has been the Chief Brand Officer since 2013.
