Report: Naomi To Receive A Push On WWE SmackDown In The Coming Weeks
The social media campaign has worked wonders...
Sep 1, 2020
Naomi has done little of note on WWE TV since WrestleMania 36. She rarely featured on SmackDown until July, and since then, she has competed in a few matches against Lacey Evans and was used as part of a Beat The Clock Challenge for Bayley and Sasha Banks ahead of SummerSlam.
Back in July, #NaomiDeservesBetter started trending on Twitter as fans and fellow wrestlers tweeted their support for the former SmackDown Women's Champion. It quickly turned into a brief back and forth between the former Funkadactyl and Booker T after the WWE Hall Of Famer said she had to advocate for herself because you have to earn your spot on the card.
The hashtag has seemingly done wonders for Naomi's short term status in WWE as Mike Johnson at PWInsider reported the company heard fans demands "loud and clear" and she will be receiving a strong push on SmackDown in the coming weeks.
If Naomi will enter the SmackDown Women's Championship picture is currently unclear, but she did pick up a win over Bayley during the Beat The Clock Challenge.
