Report: No Creative Plans For Ric Flair, Potentially "Done" With AEW

Ric Flair and his energy drink look to be 'done' with AEW

Ric Flair made his AEW debut back in 2023 in part with his Wooooo! Energy drink brand becoming an official sponsor of the company, and it also saw him get involved with Sting’s retirement run - even getting physically involved in his retirement match at Revolution 2024. Ever since Sting retired, Flair himself has not been seen on AEW programming in any capacity outside of the energy drink branding being present.

Some fans have noticed the lack of the energy drink sponsorship on AEW programming recently, and it was revealed by Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that it is safe to not expect to see it again.

“Those who have pointed out no ‘Wooooo! Energy’ graphics on the screen of late, that is a smart observation and unless something changes, it doesn’t look like you’ll be seeing that going forward. There was no explanation given, but unless something changes, it does look like that deal is over with.”

It was later reported by Fightful Select that Ric Flair is likely ‘done’ with AEW going forwards, and that there have been zero creative pitches in place for Flair, and no one has mentioned his name for a while.
