Report: NWA Star Expected To Sign With WWE

An NWA talent might be heading to WWE

Triple H looks set to add another wrestler to WWE's talent roster.

According to Cassidy Haynes of Bodyslam.net, Colby Corino's contract with the National Wrestling Alliance is set to expire at the end of 2022 and he won't be re-signing with the promotion, making him a free agent on January 1. Corino will work the NWA's TV tapings on Monday, December 5 and Tuesday, December 6 but those are expected to be his final dates with the organisation.

When Corino becomes a free agent, it is expected he will travel to the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida for a "thorough look" from the company. If things go well, it is expected WWE will sign Corino for NXT.

Corino's father Steve Corino is a WWE Performance Center coach and backstage producer in NXT. His aunt Allison Danger also had a brief run as a Performance Center coach but she was let go after three months in January 2022.

Colby Corino has been a part of the NWA since June 2021. He has challenged for the NWA Junior Heavyweight Championship on multiple occasions, most recently against Kerry Morton at the November tapings.
