Report: WWE NXT Star Wes Lee’s Injury Legit

The MSK member has a broken hand

MSK’s Wes Lee does indeed have a legit broken hand, according to Dave Meltzer. Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Meltzer said:

“Wes Lee did have a broken hand. He got it in the tag team match with The Grizzled Young Veterans on the TakeOver show on one of his dives. So that’s why there’s no tag team title match with Lorcan and Burch against MSK that was originally scheduled for Wednesday’s show because he’s hurt. The injury that they did on TV last week was to cover up for a real injury. So he’s actually really hurt.”

As seen on last week’s NXT, MSK were attacked backstage by Zack Gibson and James Drake, with The Grizzled Young Veterans fined by NXT GM William Regal due to breaking Wes Lee’s hand.

It remains to be seen if Lee will work through the injury on TV, whether in-ring or in a non-wrestling role, or whether MSK will be taken off of TV for the time being.
