Report: Orange Cassidy Vs. Matt Hardy Originally Scheduled For AEW Full Gear

Big plans were in the works

Orange Cassidy and Matt Hardy will seemingly have the blow-off match of their feud later this week when the two men face off in a Lumberjack Match on Friday's Rampage.

While the match has been given a prominent spot on Rampage, All Elite Wrestling originally had bigger plans for Cassidy vs. Hardy.

According to Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer, Orange was originally set to face Hardy in a Lumberjack Match at the Full Gear pay-per-view on November 13. AEW have already added 10 matches to the card, though, and it was decided the Lumberjack Match would take place on Rampage instead.

Hardy and Cassidy have been feuding since the summer and The King Of Sloth Style already holds a singles win over Hardy, having defeated him in August.

Also set for the November 12 edition of Rampage is Jungle Boy vs. Bobby Fish ahead of Jurassic Express and Christian Cage vs. The Superkliq at Full Gear. The match came about on Wednesday's Dynamite when Fish attacked Jungle Boy at the request of former Undisputed ERA faction-mate Adam Cole.
