WWE is speeding towards WrestleMania 36 and the company had its final pit stop on the road to The Showcase Of The Immortals last night at Elimination Chamber. The pay-per-view was main evented by the Women's Elimination Chamber match between Shayna Baszler, Ruby Riott, Liv Morgan, Natalya, Sarah Logan, and Asuka to determine the number one contender for Becky Lynch's Raw Women's Championship.
During the match, The Queen Of Spades dominated the competition as she eliminated every woman and established herself as somebody Becky Lynch should fear at Mania.
While Baszler was the overwhelming favourite going into the match, very few predicted she would be as dominant as she was. According to Paul Davis at Wrestlingnews.co, Raw Executive Director Paul Heyman booked the match and Baszler being the favourite played into his booking. Heyman assumed everyone watching at home already knew Baszler was going to win, so he thought it would be best to have her eliminate everyone to present her as "a monster heel." Davis also added that Heyman is a big believer in Baszler, despite Vince McMahon's own doubts about her.
