Report: People In WWE Want To Push Montez Ford As A Singles Star

Could Montez Ford become a solo star in WWE?

A WWE tag team could be set to break up in the near future.

WWE's announcers consistently praised Montez Ford's physique during The Street Profits match against The Usos for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Titles at Money In The Bank, while it was also teased on Friday Night SmackDown that there were issues between Ford and his tag team partner Angelo Dawkins.

If this will lead anywhere remains to be seen but Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that people in WWE want to push Montez Ford as a singles talent.

"I know that there's people who want to push Ford as a single. It's possible. I tell you what, it's gonna be really tough for Dawkins if they break up the team. I can see him really falling off. I can see them really trying to do something with Ford as a single. He's got a lot of charisma, a super athlete. There's people who are very high on him right now, especially with his new physique," Meltzer said.

WWE have considered splitting up The Street Profits in the past, most recently during the 2021 WWE Draft, but the company have opted to keep Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins together so far.
