Report: Popular Star Still The Leading Contender To Win Women's WWE Money In The Bank Ladder Match

Latest on who could win the women's WWE Money in the Bank Ladder Match

WWE are set to hold their latest Money in the Bank pay-per-view next week and the show will emanate from The O2 in London, England on Saturday, July 1.

The premium live event will feature the usual Money in the Bank ladder matches and the women's match is set to include Zoey Stark, Trish Stratus, Bayley, IYO SKY, Becky Lynch, and Zelina Vega. The lineup could slightly change if Shotzi defeats Bayley on the June 23 edition of Friday Night SmackDown, however.

Rumours have suggested that IYO SKY is the "top contender" to walk away with the briefcase this year, although other ideas were said to be on the table for the former Io Shirai. A possible babyface turn had been discussed ahead of a feud with Bayley. WWE seem keen to push SKY, though, as she is viewed as a future women's champion.

In an update, PWInsider Elite have noted that IYO SKY remains the frontrunner to win the women's Money in the Bank Ladder Match. Her winning is not guaranteed, though, especially since Vince McMahon is once again the head of WWE creative. The 77-year-old has been known to make major changes on the day of events in the past.
