Report: Possible Location Of WWE Royal Rumble 2023 Revealed

Where could Royal Rumble 2023 be heading?

Next year's Royal Rumble pay-per-view could be heading to Texas.

According to Fightful Select, San Antonio's Alamodome is the current front runner for the January 2023 'premium live event.' Nothing is official as of yet, though, and Seattle and New Orleans have both expressed interest in hosting the show.

Similar to other major pay-per-views, WWE have held the Royal Rumble in larger venues in recent years, with the 2022 event having been held at The Dome at America's Center in St. Louis, Missouri.

The Alamodome and Royal Rumble already have a history, with the pay-per-view having taken place there twice before in 1997 and 2017.

The 1997 show was main evented by hometown hero Shawn Michaels as he defeated Sycho Sid to regain the WWE Championship. 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin, meanwhile, won the Royal Rumble match.

In 2017, Randy Orton won the Royal Rumble, while John Cena became a 16-time world champion elsewhere on the card, defeating AJ Styles.
