Report: Possible Reason For 'Disappointing' AEW Double Or Nothing Ticket Sales
Slower AEW Double or Nothing ticket sales come down to two factors
All Elite Wrestling are set to hold their next pay-per-view on Sunday, May 28 and Double or Nothing will emanate from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The promotion has struggled to move tickets when compared to past editions of Double or Nothing, though. Tickets have been on sale since mid-March and Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that 7,330 tickets had been sold for the show so far. The building is currently set up to hold 9,872 fans.
Meltzer noted that ticket sales for Double or Nothing are obviously a "disappointment" as the promotion sold out the venue when the pay-per-view took place in Las Vegas in 2019 and 2022.
Poorer ticket sales appear to have been caused by the price of attending the show, with fans having commented on how much more expensive everything is, from hotels to flights. There is also a feeling amongst fans that next month's Forbidden Door pay-per-view on June 25 is the bigger show of the two.
Headline matches announced for Double or Nothing include Anarchy in the Arena between The Elite and Blackpool Combat Club, and a Four-Way for the AEW World Championship that will see MJF defend the BBB against Darby Alilin, "Jungle Boy" Jack Perry, and Sammy Guevara.
