Report: Potential Spoiler On Saraya's Mystery AEW Partner
Who could Saraya's AEW partner be?
A potential spoiler on Saraya's mystery partner for the January 11 edition of AEW Dynamite has emerged.
Saraya is set to team with an as-yet-unrevealed partner to take on Britt Baker and AEW Women's World Champion Jamie Hayter in only the second match since she came out of retirement. AEW talent have been trying to find out who the mystery partner is and they told Fightful Select that they have been "no sold" when they have asked if Mercedes Moné (FKA Sasha Banks) is teaming with Saraya.
AEW talent still believe that it will be Mercedes Moné on January 11 and talent assume it is her partly because AEW have not shot down the suggestion on-screen or internally. One talent noted they don't think an AEW deal could have been completed as of last week, though, due to Moné's ties to WWE.
Mercedes Moné reportedly received her WWE release in the summer of 2022 but she was unable to take wrestling-related bookings until 2023. She made her New Japan Pro-Wrestling debut at Wrestle Kingdom 17, taking out IWGP Women's Champion KAIRI. Moné will challenge for the IWGP Women's Championship at Battle in the Valley on February 18 in San Jose, California.
