Report: R-Truth Given New WWE Tag Team Partner

R-Truth has a new tag team partner in WWE. 

The Truth has largely been by himself on WWE TV in recent years but that has changed in the past few weeks, with R-Truth being aligned with Shelton Benjamin at Main Event tapings before Monday Night Raw. The pair even teamed together last week in a loss to NXT's Brooks Jensen and Josh Briggs, and Benjamin was ringside for Truth's DQ win over Von Wagner at Monday's Main Event show. 

Now, R-Truth and Shelton Benjamin are officially a pairing on WWE TV, according to Fightful Select, with the change having been made internally. 

Both Benjamin and R-Truth have previously enjoyed tag team success in WWE. Truth was WWE Tag Team Champion with Kofi Kingston for 139 days in 2012. Benjamin, meanwhile, is a three-time tag team champion in WWE having twice held the gold with Charlie Haas as The World's Greatest Tag Team and once with Cedric Alexander in The Hurt Business. 

Both have also been tag team champions outside of the company in the likes of Ring of Honor and TNA.
