WWE's budget cuts continued on Friday and 14 Superstars from NXT and 205 Live were released by the company, including Breezango, Killian Dain, Ever-Rise and Tony Nese.

Two other Superstars released were Marina Shafir and Arturo Ruas, and WWE had plans for the mixed martial artists before they were let go.

According to Fightful Select, Ruas and Shafir were both originally set to be in new NXT faction Diamond Mine. Ruas was scheduled to be an original member of the group until mid-June, but he was told that plans had changed a few days ahead of the June 23 edition of NXT.

Shafir was also set to be involved with the group in a female enforcer-type role and many in NXT believed she was still going to debut with the stable at a later date.

Diamond Mine debuted on NXT last week after weeks of teases. Roderick Strong, Tyler Rust, Hideki Suzuki and manager Malcolm Bivens targeted Cruiserweight Champion Kushida to close out the show.
