Report: Ric Flair-Charlotte Flair Spot On WWE Raw Legends Night Was Botched

The Nature Boy tripped Charlotte from out of nowhere...

On this week's special Legends Night edition of Monday Night Raw, Ric Flair accompanied his daughter Charlotte Flair and Asuka to the ring for their match against Lacey Evans & Peyton Royce. The night didn't quite go to plan for The Nature Boy, though.

In the late stages of the match, Charlotte pushed Royce off the ropes and chased after her. The Queen hit the ropes two seconds after Royce and Ric suddenly tripped his daughter from out of nowhere. This allowed Peyton to trap Charlotte in a Crucifix Pin for the 1-2-3.

Flair was irate with her father after the match and lambasted him before heading up the ramp.

Bryan Alvarez reported on Wrestling Observer Live that the spot was supposed to look like Ric had tried to trip Royce but failed and inadvertently tripped Charlotte.

Alvarez said: "I have just been alerted by the way for those of you who watched Raw that in fact the story was supposed to be that Ric was trying to trip Peyton and it was supposed to be an accident."

The 12-time Women's Champion ultimately didn't hit the ropes until two seconds after Peyton, though, which meant the spot came across on TV like The Nature Boy had intentionally tripped up his own daughter for no reason.
