Report: Small Group Of Fans Attended Yesterday's WWE Raw Tapings

They weren't allowed to wear face masks...

On June 3, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis announced the Sunshine State would enter phase two of reopening on June 5. This allows large venues including cinemas, restaurants, and sporting venues to operate at 50 percent capacity with social distancing and sanitisation protocols.

With this in mind, WWE invited a small group of fans to appear in the crowd alongside NXT Superstars at yesterday's Raw taping. They were noticeable throughout the episode, and Raj Giri at WrestlingInc. reported some of the people in attendance are diehard fans who live nearby, while others were friends and family of the Superstars.

Giri also noted that the small group had to sign waivers stating that they wouldn't take pictures or send out spoilers. The waivers also stated WWE wasn't liable if they contracted coronavirus and that they accepted the risks by attending the event.

Bryan Alvarez at F4W Online later revealed WWE didn't let anybody at the tapings wear a face mask. Research has shown that face masks help to limit the spread of COVID-19.

Alvarez tweeted: "On top of nobody finding out about the COVID failure until it hit social media, I was told by multiple sources that WWE would not allow anyone in the crowd at the RAW taping Monday to wear masks."
