Report: 'Smoke And Mirrors' Planned For Vince McMahon WWE WrestleMania Match

What will happen at 'Mania?

12 years on from his last match, against Bret Hart at WrestleMania 26, Vince McMahon is set to return to the squared circle at WrestleMania 38.

Following initial reports that McMahon was expected to be in action at The Show Of Shows, Dave Meltzer reported Vince McMahon vs. Pat McAfee was listed on the internal schedule for WrestleMania.

The 76-year-old McMahon seemingly won't be having a straight singles match, though.

In an update, Meltzer reported on F4W Online that while McMahon will be advertised for a match, it will be a "complete smoke and mirrors event."

What exactly this means for WrestleMania 38 remains to be seen but with McMahon's association with Austin Theory on Monday Night Raw, it wouldn't be a shock if the former EVOLVE Champion replaces or assists in the 'Mania match.

The angle for the match, Meltzer noted, will take place during McMahon's appearance on Thursday's edition of the Pat McAfee Show.

More than 20,000 tickets for WrestleMania remain unsold and McMahon's return is expected to be pushed to encourage ticket sales.
