Sting and All Elite Wrestling shocked the wrestling world last week as The Franchise debuted on Dynamite. The WCW legend's new t-shirt broke Pro Wrestling Tees' record for most shirts sold within 24 hours and he will sit down for an interview with Tony Schiavone on tonight's Dynamite.

While Sting's role in AEW was not officially revealed, his listing on the AEW roster page suggested The Icon will step inside the squared circle at least one more time.

According to Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, this is indeed the case and there are plans for Sting to eventually wrestle in AEW. He won't be in action every week, though, and the young promotion plans to leverage The Franchise's star power.

Stinger never seemed completed satisfied with his retirement from professional wrestling and he continued to advocate for a match with The Undertaker until The Phenom himself decided to call it a career.

Barrasso noted Sting's run in WWE didn't provide the Hall Of Famer with the necessary closure and he still wanted to end his career on his terms. WWE had no plans to use him, though, so the six-time WCW World Heavyweight Champion decided to let his contract run out and he opted to sign with AEW after discussions with Tony Khan.
