Report: "Stone Cold" Steve Austin Returning To WWE TV Once Fans Can Attend Shows

Give Me A Hell Yeah...

Back on the March 16 episode of Monday Night Raw, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin returned to WWE TV for 3:16 Day. While The Texas Rattlesnake was expecting to celebrate in front of fans, the ongoing coronavirus pandemic meant the show had to be moved to an empty WWE Performance Center and Austin drank many beers with Becky Lynch without an adoring crowd to cheer them on.

Stone Cold will seemingly be returning to our TV screens in early 2021 as WrestleVotes reported WWE is planning to hold a 25th-anniversary celebration for the six-time world champion once fans can attend shows again. Austin made his WWE debut back on January 8, 1996, so the January 4 or January 11 episodes of Monday Night Raw would be the likely dates for the celebration.

WrestleVotes tweeted: "WWE has plans to honor Stone Cold Steve Austin in a similar way to the 25th anniversary celebration for Triple H that has been ongoing with a slew of new merchandise as well as a live appearance once audiences return."

The company held a similar celebration for Triple H on the April 24 episode of Friday Night SmackDown to mark 25 years with the wrestling behemoth. Commemorative merchandise was released for the occasion and the likes of Vince McMahon and Shawn Michaels turned up on the blue brand to celebrate.
