Report: Talents Miss AEW Dynamite Due To COVID-19

COVID-19 affects AEW Dynamite

All Elite Wrestling's special 'Blood & Guts' episode of Dynamite on June 29 was affected by COVID-19.

Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that "a lot of people" were not able to make the TV taping due to the virus.

"There were a lot of people who were not available for the show because of COVID and that's why they did not announce the show until pretty much today. The show was put together late," Meltzer said.

Who exactly missed the show due to COVID-19 and who wasn't at Dynamite because of injury is currently unclear, however, with the promotion in the midst of an injury crisis. The likes of Adam Cole, CM Punk, Bryan Danielson, and Kyle O'Reilly are all currently on the shelf due to various issues.

While talents may have missed Dynamite due to COVID, the show still featured Orange Cassidy vs. Ethan Page, a heel Luchasaurus vs. Serpentico, Danhausen and FTR vs. The Gunn Club and Max Caster, a TBS Title match between Jade Cargill and Leila Gray, and a Blood & Guts Match that pitted Eddie Kingston, Santana, Ortiz, Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, and Wheeler Yuta against the Jericho Appreciation Society.
