Report: Talents Unhappy About Scrapped WWE Raw Plans

There was unhappiness over scrapped WWE Raw plans this week

There was a lot of unhappiness behind the scenes at WWE's taping of Monday Night Raw on April 17 in North Little Rock, Arkansas.

According to PWInsider Elite, several backstage segments with female talents were cut shortly before Raw went on the air and, in at least one case, when the material had already been filmed. What exactly the segments would have entailed is unknown but the plans being scrapped "led to some very unhappy talents" backstage.

Fightful Select indicated a Damage CTRL backstage segment didn't air during the show, so that may have been the material that was already filmed. That has not been confirmed, though.

The latest reports come after there was already unhappiness amongst the women's division with WWE. It was noted ahead of WrestleMania there was unhappiness about the company's creative writing and how it meant female talent struggled to get traction during the run-up to the Showcase of the Immortals.

Former SmackDown Women's Champion Ronda Rousey also expressed her own frustrations with creative recently, saying her 2022 feud with Liv Morgan was "hamstrung by a bunch of octogenarians who still think they know how to be hip while putting less than 5 minutes of thought a week into each women's storyline."
