Report: Thunder Rosa Has Backstage Heat In AEW

The AEW injury curse continues, with the news that AEW Women’s World Champion Thunder Rosa will not be able to compete at All Out on September 4 due to injury.

Shortly after the announcement was made, the rumour mill went into overdrive, suggesting that Rosa’s injury wasn’t legit, and that she had major heat with Britt Baker and Jamie Hayter.

A new report from Fightful Select has shed some more light on the situation, and whilst it seems Rosa is injured - apparently suffering from bulging discs - the extent of her injury is unknown, and this injury situation is not being kayfabed by AEW.

The report did confirm that Rosa has heat with Baker and Hayter. Rosa and Baker reportedly ‘can’t stand each other’ but have remained professional and remain open to working with one another. The heat between Rosa and Hayter comes from Rosa breaking Hayter’s nose on TV, with Rosa developing a reputation for working a bit too stiff in the ring.

Multiple talents have reportedly contacted Fightful with their opinions on Rosa - many says she’s worked hard to get bookings for younger talent, whilst others say the champ has developed an ego and can be difficult to work with.

Since news broke of Rosa’s injury, and the surfacing of the allegations of heat and other rumours, Rosa herself has stepped away from social media, with her account now being run by her management.
