Report: Tito Ortiz Training To Wrestle At WWE Performance Center

More former UFC fighters in WWE...

In recent years, several MMA fighters have transitioned to professional wrestling. Former UFC fighters Matt Riddle, Ronda Rousey, and Cain Velasquez can all be found in WWE, "Filthy" Tom Lawlor currently performs in MLW, and Jon "Bones" Jones and Daniel Cormier have expressed an interest in working for WWE once they retire.

Former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Tito Ortiz is now looking to add himself to the mix, as Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that The Huntington Beach Bad Boy is currently training to be a professional wrestler at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.

Meltzer said: "Tito Ortiz is training to be a professional wrestler at the Performance Center as we speak. He was there all week and I heard great things about his work ethic, which doesn’t surprise me, his enthusiasm, which doesn't surprise me."

Ortiz has previously dabbled in professional wrestling. He briefly held talks with WWE back in 2003, but he has mostly been involved with IMPACT Wrestling. He first appeared in IMPACT at Hard Justice 2005 as the special guest referee for AJ Styles vs. Jeff Jarrett for the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship. He then resurfaced in TNA in August 2013 when he was a member of Aces & Eights for two weeks.
