Tony Khan is the new owner of Ring of Honor, and after making his historic announcement at the start of AEW: Dynamite the question now is what’s next for the genre changing indie promotion?

Rumours had circulated in recent days that Khan buying ROH was in the works, and bodyslam.net's Cassidy Haynes has potentially shed more light on Ring of Honor’s future, reporting that internal plans were for ROH to become AEW’s ‘developmental territory’ of sorts.

What that means is anyone’s guess, but fans will hope for a scenario similar to how ‘black and gold’ era NXT co-existed with main roster WWE. Haynes also reported that some ‘main roster’ AEW talent will appear for Ring of Honor on occasion.

It is believed that Khan bought Ring of Honor for somewhere in the $30-$40 million price range, with reports emerging in the past 24 hours stating that the company would be up for sale to the right buyer for somewhere in that region.

Regardless, this is an exciting time to be a wrestling fan, and it remains to be seen what’s net for Ring of Honor after Supercard of Honor XV on April 1.
