Report: Top AEW Star Returning Soon
A big AEW star is reportedly set to make a comeback in the near future
AEW’s injury and absentee list has been steadily growing in 2024, but it looks as though one major star will be making his return in the near future. Former AEW World Champion “Hangman” Adam Page has been absent from AEW programming since a triple threat loss at Revolution 2024 when challenging for the AEW World Championship against Samoa Joe and Swerve Strickland. It was revealed at the time that Page was to take time away for personal reasons, and there was no return timeline.
A report from Fightful Select has revealed that there is an expectation for him to return in the very near future - likely within the next month. There are no concrete creative plans known or an exact return date, but it is noted that Page is expected to return as a heel. Prior to his absence, he was going down a darker route with his character, so this will continue.
AEW Dynamite is scheduled to be close to Page’s home this coming week, but the report has noted that the return isn’t slated to be as soon as this Wednesday.
