Report: Triple H Not Backstage At WWE NXT Taping
The nature of Triple H's "I'm Back" speech still is not clear
Jul 1, 2022
One week on from his "I'm back" speech, what exactly Triple H (Paul Levesque) is now doing at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, is still unclear. It is believed the WWE Executive Vice President of Global Talent Strategy and Development has more power within the company again but little has been revealed about any possible new role for Levesque.
Some speculated the speech could have been about The Game's involvement with WWE NXT - the brand he previously headed up before suffering from heart issues last year - but that at least wasn't the case this week. John Pollock of POST Wrestling reported that Triple H was not in Orlando for Tuesday's NXT taping and the regular crew was running the show.
Shawn Michaels has been in charge of the day-to-day running of NXT TV since Triple H was forced to step away, while Vince McMahon and Bruce Prichard have provided the overarching vision for the developmental show.
Tuesday's episode of NXT continued the build to next week's Great American Bash special on July 5. That show will be headlined by an NXT Title match between Bron Breakker and Cameron Grimes.
