Report: Triple H Was Keen To Re-Sign New AEW Backstage Hire

WWE are said to have lost a valuable member of staff to AEW.

Triple H is said to have been keen on the work of a new AEW backstage hire, and would reportedly have liked to re-hire him in WWE, according to a report by Fightful Select.

Mike Mansury, AEW's new Senior VP and Co-Executive Producer, previously worked for WWE as VP of Global TV Production. Fightful also report that Mansury seemed poised to take over Kevin Dunn's role with WWE before leaving, also adding: "[A] source indicated that he was a name that they thought Triple H would try to bring back to the company, and that Triple H seemed keen on his work. They said that they didn't think Mansury would come back unless he was taking over Kevin Dunn's role, and Dunn still hasn't budged from his spot."

Fightful's report also states that talent and staff from within both promotions believe AEW's hiring to Mansury to be a good move, and that he should help improve AEW's content. Interestingly, they also explain that "one WWE source said that he's a good hire specifically because he's more in touch with AEW's demographic, and can significantly increase the level of production the company has. One WWE source that heavily criticises AEW to us, said that he saw this as AEW's biggest hire this year."
