Report: 'Twists & Turns' Planned For Build To WWE WrestleMania 39 Match

WWE have 'twists and turns' planned on the road to WrestleMania 39

WWE are well on the road to WrestleMania 39, with the Showcase of the Immortals set to emanate from SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, California on Saturday, April 1 and Sunday, April 2.

Multiple matches have already been made official and a bout for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships will likely be announced for Mania in the coming weeks.

The title picture is currently in flux, though, and the belts even changed hands on Raw this week when Trish Stratus returned to help Becky Lynch and Lita defeat Damage CTRL's Dakota Kai and IYO SKY. Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler are rumoured to be involved in the WWE Women's Tag Team Title match too so a triple-threat tag team clash might be the option the company goes with for WrestleMania.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the WWE Women's Tag Team Title situation has "several twists and turns yet to come before the matches are finalized." Meltzer is unsure what the twists and turns are but he speculated the belts could change hands again or Trish Stratus could turn heel. He noted the situation will likely lead to two matches being booked for Mania, with Stratus and Bayley involved on the WrestleMania card in some capacity.

WWE have four episodes of Monday Night Raw remaining before WrestleMania 39.
