Report: Update On Becky Lynch's WWE Return

Latest on Becky Lynch

Becky Lynch might not be as close to a WWE return as previously believed.

After Lynch was backstage at the October 3 edition of Monday Night Raw, it was noted that the former Raw Women's Champion was "closer and closer to returning to action", fuelling speculation that she could be back in action before the end of 2022. Lynch also said in an August interview that her separated shoulder was healing "really quick."

In an update, though, Fightful Select reported there is no definitive timetable for Lynch to return. WWE creative are hopeful Lynch will be back by the end of 2022 but that is more the team being optimistic that Lynch won't need surgery as opposed to a guarantee.

WWE hoped after Lynch suffered the separated shoulder that she wouldn't need surgery and would be able to return in a few months. As of early September, doctors noted it would at least be two months until Lynch could get anywhere near a pro wrestling ring.

Lynch has been out of action since the SummerSlam pay-per-view on July 30. Big-Time Becks suffered a separated shoulder during her Raw Women's Title match against Bianca Belair. Lynch then turned babyface following the contest and was written off WWE TV following a backstage attack by Damage CTRL on Raw.
