Report: Update On Damian Priest's Absence From WWE Television

Priest has not been seen on television since May

Damian Priest hasn't been seen on WWE television since WrestleMania Backlash last month.

The Archer Of Infamy defeated The Miz in a Zombie Lumberjack Match but hasn't featured on Monday Night Raw since, with recent reports claiming that the former NXT North American champion has been given some time off to deal with a back injury.

However, Fightful Select are reporting that, while Priest did suffer with a back problem in recent months, his recent absence from television isn't necessarily down to the injury.

The report indicates that Priest could return to WWE television as soon as next week, should the creative team have plans for him, with it being hoped at one point that he would be involved in the Money In The Bank qualification matches.

Priest was unavailable in the last couple of weeks but it is suggested that his absence was not injury-related, but down to other reasons which have not been disclosed by officials within WWE.

Priest's back problems goes back to March amid reports he could have potentially missed WrestleMania 37 due to the injury. However, Fightful's report says it has been confirmed his most recent absence is not down to those problems.
