Report: Update On Humberto Carrillo & Ricochet On WWE Raw

It's reportedly one or the other...

It appears Humberto Carrillo's recent push on WWE Raw has been paused, at least temporarily.

Carrillo was not a part of this past week's episode of Monday Night Raw and PWInsider is reporting that the 25-year-old was not on the show because the decision was made by creative to focus on Ricochet instead.

Carrillo appeared to sustain some kind of injury on last week's Raw, which saw his match with United States champion Sheamus prematurely ended by the match official. The end occurred when Sheamus landed on Carrillo outside of the ring, following an attempt at a Sunset-Flip Powerbomb. There has been no further word as to the severity of any injury sustained.

Ricochet accepted Sheamus' Open Challenge on the WWE WrestleMania Backlash pre-show and, although he lost the match, he attracted the ire of the United States champion by donning his coat and hat. The duo would again square off on Raw, hinting that the 'One & Only' is now stepping into the role previously held by Carrillo.

Ricochet had been involved in a feud with Mustafa Ali, which was mainly playing out on WWE Main Event.
