Report: Update On Jinder Mahal's Status On WWE TV

Will the former WWE Champion be managing or wrestling?

Jinder Mahal made his return to WWE Raw on this past Monday's episode of the show, accompanying Indus Sher (Veer & Sanga) as they won a quick squash match. It was Indus Sher's in-ring Raw debut.

The Modern-Day Maharaja cut a quick promo after the team's victory and was referred to as the 'mastermind behind the mayhem' by Corey Graves, suggesting that he may just be a manager going forward.

According to Fightful Select, the main creative plans call for Indus Sher as a team with the former WWE Champion as their mouthpiece. However, Jinder will also still wrestle.

Mahal last wrestled on the NXT brand earlier this year, including a loss in an NXT Title match to then-champion Bron Breakker. His most recent main roster outings were a string of losses to Bray Wyatt on non-televised live events towards the end of 2022.

Jinder's position within WWE has fluctuated over the past several years, with injuries and frequent brand switches playing a part.

Last year, Hulk Hogan endorsed Mahal and said that believes he has the tools to be the modern-day Hulkster.
