Report: Update On Jon Moxley's Original Post-All Out Plans

Vacation, all I ever wanted

Jon Moxley originally had different plans following Sunday's All Out pay-per-view.

Moxley walked into the pay-per-view as AEW World Champion, having defeated CM Punk in their unification match, but The Purveyor of Violence lost to Punk in their rematch at All Out, succumbing to a Go To Sleep. Following the loss, Moxley's original plan was to go on vacation, which he confirmed on Dynamite, and Fightful Select reported that AEW planned to bring the two-time world champion back for the October 18 edition of Dynamite from his hometown of Cincinnati, Ohio.

Moxley's vacation plans were ultimately scrapped, though, following a backstage fight between The Elite, CM Punk and Ace Steel which resulted in them being suspended. AEW's immediate plans were changed following the altercation, with CM Punk and The Elite being stripped of the AEW World and Trios Titles, and Jon Moxley was brought to Dynamite along with Chris Jericho, who was also not originally scheduled to be at the show.

Moxley then led a talent meeting ahead of Dynamite with Jericho and Bryan Danielson and he will be involved in the Grand Slam Tournament of Champions for the AEW World Title. Moxley will face the winner of Sammy Guevara vs. Darby Allin in a semifinal next week. The final will take place at Dynamite Grand Slam on September 21.
