The storyline between Xia Li and Kacy Catanzaro continued on last week's edition of NXT and the Chinese Superstar picked up the win by referee stoppage after she stomped on Catanzaro's leg while it was draped on the steel steps. Li dragged Catanzaro by the hair back into the ring after the move but the official decided Kacy was unable to continue.

Following the episode, Matt Camp noted on the NXT Injury Report that Catanzaro had suffered a leg injury and was not medically cleared to compete. She was said to be out of action for an unspecified amount of time.

In an update on the injury, Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that Catanzaro's injury isn't as bad as WWE stated, and while she isn't 100 percent, she's fine overall.

Meltzer said: "So Kacy Catanzaro, even though they said she had a broken leg, I mean it's not like she's 100 percent but she's fine. So, I have no idea why they said she had a broken leg on television."

How long Catanzaro will be on the shelf for remains to be seen, but the storyline with Xia Li will continue in her absence and Kayden Carter looks set to face off with Tian Sha's protege soon.
