Report: Update On Kevin Owens Following WWE Injury Scare

Kevin Owens suffered an injury scare over the weekend

One of WWE's top stars in Kevin Owens suffered an injury scare over the weekend.

The former Universal Champion was in action at WWE's house show in Fort Wayne, Indiana on Saturday, April 22 as he and Sami Zayn defended the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships against The Usos. Owens suffered an injury during the match, though, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reported, and Owens was said to be limping after the bout and needed help backstage. Owens was still limping for his run-in during the main event between Cody Rhodes and Solo Sikoa.

While there were fears the injury could be serious, Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that Owens was okay during Sunday's WWE house show in Toledo, Ohio. He and Sami Zayn defeated The Usos for the second night in a row before they once again helped Cody Rhodes defeat Solo Sikoa. KO wasn't limping during Sunday's live event and it is believed he'll be fine to wrestle on SmackDown this week.

Owens and Zayn are scheduled to defend the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Titles against The Usos on SmackDown in a rematch from WrestleMania 39.
