Report: Update On MVP's WWE Status

Porter will be ballin' on Monday Nights for a while longer...

Back at the Royal Rumble, MVP returned to WWE for the first time in 10 years and lasted 24 seconds in the namesake match before being dumped out of the ring by Brock Lesnar. He then faced Rey Mysterio the next night on Raw and said he had wrestled his last match in WWE. Porter started his new job as a backstage producer on the red brand soon after.

The former United States Champion's in-ring career has not come to an end, however, as he has wrestled five more times since January 29 and now manages Bobby Lashley, Brendan Vink, and Shane Thorne.

With so much on his plate with his on-screen role, Mike Johnson at PWInsider revealed MVP is no longer working as a producer on Raw and is once again a full-time in-ring performer in the company.

Once the former IWGP Intercontinental Champion does decide to hang up his boots, it is likely he will return to his backstage role as he remains close with Raw Executive Director Paul Heyman.
