Report: Update On Randy Orton Following Possible Injury On WWE Raw

A rough moment for Orton

An update on Randy Orton after he took a rough Frog Splash from Montez Ford on Monday Night Raw has emerged.

According to Fightful Select, initial indications are that Orton just had "a stinger or a tweak." WWE will continue to monitor Orton's condition, though.

Orton suffered the injury during RK-Bro's match against The Street Profits and the original finish of the contest had to be changed due to The Viper's condition.

The Frog Splash ultimately knocked the wind out of Orton and crushed his ribs which initially left him unable to move and the match went to the finish as a result.

Ford pinned Orton straight after the move and Angelo Dawkins pushed the 14-time world champion's foot off the bottom rope to score the 1-2-3.

RK-Bro were originally set to win the match and Orton and Riddle would have scored the victory following a series of RKOs but that went out the window after Orton's injury.

There is reportedly no heat on Montez Ford following the match and it was considered a "sh*t happens" situation, according to Fightful.
